I am on a very unique quest… If you know me at all, you probably already know that I love to create. In fact, my livelihood IS creating: From web design to custom furniture restoration. One of my favorite hobbies has always been to write songs, and again, if you know me, you probably already knew that… But now I am taking a slight detour and am wondering if you’ll join me. While song-writing may show up from time-to-time here, being a father has opened up another creative world surrounded by silliness, laughter, adventure, and life-lessons. If you could be a fly on the wall in our home, there’s no doubt you would hear silly little songs made up on the fly, just to get my two boys' attention and laughter… This has opened up their eyes to a wonderful world of imagination and creativity. These imaginative experiences with my children have sparked fun characters and storylines that I am aiming to turn into illustrated, children’s books. The first character that you'll meet is Rumpus Magumpus. You'll see a sketch of him at the top of my page. Rumpus is a soldier who is limited by his larger-than-average backside... but despite his limitations, he presses on to succeed. Rumpus lives in a fictional, whimsical world with other lively characters that pop up in each story. The cadence and rhyme scheme makes these stories fun and engaging. Currently, I have the first two books written. I am working with a very talented illustrator (https://leahmorrison.carbonmade.com/projects/2939544) and am hoping to publish and print at least three books with the Rumpus Magumpus character. Depending on their success, I would aim to write and publish even more. In attempts to be able to continue writing and publishing, I am launching a Patreon campaign. If you're not familiar with this platform, read on... In short, I have fallen in love with creative writing and I feel like I have something to offer parents, grandchildren, teachers, other aspiring writers, etc. that goes beyond a "one-time" project. There is no doubt there are several more books to be written and printed for you to read to your little, loved ones!
